The MATH-CPT should not be administered to individuals with severe dyscalculia, as doing so may yield misleading results.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Mathematics Continuous Performance Test (MATH-CPT) is a computerized test aimed at assessing attention with various types of attention. You should either let the examinee read the instructions or else read the instructions to the examinee. The instructions to the examinee are on the main page under the title \u201cInstructions\u201d and are labeled \u201cInstructions to the Examinee\u201d. After the examinee understands the task, return to the main page and select \u201cPractice <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adolescents\/Adults for Free<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">or \u201cPractice Children\/adolescents for Free,\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and let the examinee try the 30 trial problems. Following the practice, the examinee may start the test itself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>To the examinee<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The test consists of simple arithmetic problems of addition, subtraction, multiplication<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and division. No answer is greater than 9. It is important to note that this is not a test of mathematics since the problems are very easy. The problems and their suggested solutions appear on the computer screen one after the other, as in 1 + 1 = 2.\u00a0 Your task is to look at the problem and decide whether the proposed solution to the problem is correct or incorrect. If the solution is correct, press number \u201c1\u201d on the keypad (on the right side of the keyboard) as quickly as you can.\u00a0 If the solution is incorrect, as in 9 \u2013 6 = 4, press <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">number \u201c2\u201d on the keypad as quickly as you can.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The test is quite long. Most people need more than ten minutes to answer all the questions.\u00a0 Try to do your best. \u00a0Do not guess. \u00a0Try to concentrate throughout the test.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 If you make a mistake, you cannot correct it since the program moves on to the next question.\u00a0 Do not worry about mistakes-everyone makes them.\u00a0 If you press a key other than \u201c1\u201d or \u201c2\u201d, a message will appear on the screen telling you to press number \u201c1\u201d or number \u201c2\u201d to continue the test, since only answers of \u201c1\u201d or \u201c2\u201d are acceptable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To summarize, these are your tasks:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You must give an answer. This means pressing number \u201c1\u201d if you think the solution to the problem is correct and pressing number \u201c2\u201d if you think the solution to the problem is incorrect.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Answer as quickly as you can by pressing the appropriate key. The computer measures your response in thousands of a second. Guesses are inappropriate. Try to avoid guessing.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you finish the test, you will be able to see the raw data only.\u00a0 If you want to see your standardized score, which is a comparison between your scores and the norm based on your age, you will have to pay through PayPal or Credit Card. The price for each test is $8.00<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to $10.00 depends on the number of tests you purchased. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you complete the test, you will be returned automatically <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to the dashboard to approve payment by the credit you have purchased.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>To the tester<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In case the examinee cannot finish because of fatigue or for any other reason, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">you can press the \u201cF5\u201d button<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This act is not recommended since all the information collected so far will be lost.
